Tinder has moved its headquarters back to its original West Hollywood building on Sunset Boulevard, the company confirmed following a media tour of the new premises. The relocation marks a homecoming for the dating app, which was founded at this location before moving to an office across the street.

The tour, conducted by Business Insider, took place on a Friday when most staff work remotely. The office was decorated with balloon arches and leftover refreshments from 'Tinder Sparks', the company's internal product conference held the previous day.

A Playful and Brand-Centric Workspace

The office design heavily incorporates Tinder's brand identity and its parent company, Match Group. A central staircase is adorned with branding from Tinder and other Match Group apps, including Hinge, Archer, and OkCupid.

Meeting rooms are named after Los Angeles streets like Melrose and La Brea, as well as Tinder-specific themes such as 'Sparks'. The company's mission statement – "Tinder is the most fun way to spark something new with someone new" – is displayed prominently and recited by employees at the start of meetings.

CEO's Desk and Employee Amenities

Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff works from a desk in the open-plan bullpen area, with a shelf nearby displaying merchandise from Hinge and Tinder. Employee amenities are a focal point, designed to foster a relaxed and creative atmosphere.

A dedicated 'de-stress with Legos' station offers a break from coding, while whiteboards pose playful questions like "Which animal has the highest brain-to-body ratio?" – the office answer being ants.

Extensive Refreshments and Outdoor Space

The kitchen and break areas are comprehensively stocked. Savory snacks include seaweed and Pringles, while sweet options range from protein bars to full-size candy bars. The drink selection spans seltzers, sodas, Celsius energy drinks, and a coffee bar with syrups.

For after-hours socialising, the office features beer, wine, and Truly hard seltzers on tap. A roof deck with espresso machine provides outdoor seating surrounded by Los Angeles billboards, capitalising on the Californian climate.

The office reopening and its detailed design underscore Tinder's efforts to cultivate a distinct corporate culture as it returns to its founding location. The workspace blends brand promotion with employee perks aimed at encouraging creativity and collaboration within the competitive dating app market.
